Hartbrights roll into The Barrel Vault, St. Pancras Station
Our latest custom signage project for long time client J D Wetherspoon involved internal and external signage at their Barrel Vault location inside St. Pancras train station.
To the exterior we manufactured and installed several 3D illuminated lettering spelling out the name of the pub. Each was rail mounted to allow for ease of fitting and lit with powerful LED strips.
For the interior we created two large scale 3D lettering signs to be installed high up near the ceiling. Taking lines directly from John Betjemen’s love poem A Subalterns Love Song, they read:
And cool the verandah that welcomes us in
To the six-o’clock news and a lime-juice and gin.
The rest of the décor reflects the name of the pub, which harks back to the early days of St. Pancras station when hundreds of barrels of Burton Beer were stored in the vast space beneath the station’s raised platforms. All very much in keeping with J D Wetherspoon’s approach to preserving the heritage of their pubs.
