J D Wetherspoon pub The Red Lion at London’s Gatwick airport has recently undergone a major refurbishment and extensionand Hartbrights were once again called in to provide the signage.

We provided the original signage for the pub in 2013, the same year it won the Food & Beverage Award for the Best Airport Bar in the World, so were obviously delighted to be back at Gatwick for this project.

The bar offers a relaxed space away from the hustle and bustle of the main airport lounge. Incorporating an industrial touch via the feature keg display, the bar benefits from splashes of vibrant colour complementing timber finishes.

For our part, new illuminated 3D letter signs were manufactured and installed to the front and behind the bar of the pub, whilst an old style map design was digitally printed directly onto oak timber for a feature wall behind the coffee bar, extending the timber finishes throughout the space.
