IHG Hotels & Resorts are all set to open the latest hotel under their Hotel Indigo brand later this year. Hotel Indigo Bath combines previously separate Grade I and Grade II-listed houses, built circa 1743-49 and designed by John Wood the Elder, into a boutique hotel offering 166 luxury rooms.

Architects Darling Associates are providing architecture and interior design services. They have commissioned Hartbrights to supply wall art and interior signage for their project.

Each of the 166 bedrooms is themed to reflect the Bath experience and Phase I of the project had us creating some unique wall art for 33 of the rooms.

The artwork reflects the city’s long history and connection with literature and the novelists who helped make Bath famous.

Phase 2 of the project for Hartbrights will involve the production of room number and wayfinding signage, with potential for further work in Phase 3. We’ll blog about this in the very near future.
